CASA's The Heart of Evening of Elegance

We invite you to join CASA of Denton County’s Heart of Evening of Elegance at 6:30 p.m. For 21 years, this annual event has been one of our largest funding raising events that has helped to provide critical court advocacy for children who have been abused and neglected in Denton County. Although our event may look different this year, it will be a chance for the community to come together and provide the necessary funds to continue our mission during these difficult times. This year has brought many unexpected challenges to CASA of Denton County, not only from a funding perspective, but also a deep concern for the children we serve – the helpless little ones living with abusive or neglectful caregivers. As our cities have started to open back up, children are coming from behind closed doors. We know that our cases and the number of children who enter the child welfare system will rise. Already, we have seen a 36 percent increase in the children taken into foster care from April through the end of September. Our work has become more essential than ever before to ensure that every child will have a CASA fighting for their best interests. We cannot do this without you and we look forward to seeing you at our virtual Heart of Evening of Elegance! Although this year’s event will not look like our traditional event, it will capture the spirit and the heart of Evening of Elegance. Below are a few highlights of the event you can look forward to enjoying. Bistecca Italian Steakhouse will offer a special menu available for takeout the evening of Nov. 8. Judges and celebrity waiters will personally deliver takeout meals to your car when you pick-up at Bistecca the evening of the virtual event. A live auction hosted by auctioneer Mike Trent will be part of the virtual evening activities. A silent auction will be open prior to and after the event. Fund A Child opportunities will be promoted throughout the event. Registration for the event is just $25, but as an added bonus, if you sign up for online bidding you will receive a Bistecca $25 gift card.
