Diamonds in the Rough: Summer Camp For Girls

Greetings, Did you know that summer camp teach kids very important life skills? The time away from parents provides an excellent opportunity for youth to take initiative, exercise their autonomy and develop leadership, problem-solving and social skills, which often builds self-esteem, confidence and resilience. For this very reason, July 12-15, Stand 4 Sisterhood will host Diamonds in the Rough: Summer Camp for (18) Girls ages 12-17 Throughout this 4 Day Camp, the girls will partake in the following workshops: CPR Training * Health & Wellness * Self-Defense * Financial Literacy * STEM * Cooking Classes * Etiquette * Arts N’ Crafts * Communication & Conflict Resolution * Dance & Music * Sewing * Etc… We are very passionate about hosting this event because our daughters are indeed our diamonds and worth investing in NOW before becoming a statistic or succumb to victimization in any capacity. Stand 4 Sisterhood is a 501c3 nonprofit advocacy agency committed to bringing solutions to unwelcoming or harmful situations that impacts the lives of girls and women via mentor-ship, take-action initiatives and preventive intervention. Furthermore, Stand 4 Sisterhood empowers girls and women to collaborate vs. compete by uniting to fight- not each other as females; but to join forces to advocate for social change and prevention power for bullying, domestic violence, human trafficking and gender inequality.
